Matt Peters and Matt Schellenberg have been co-writing, co-producing and co-yelling-at-each-other for the last decade, mostly as founding members of Royal Canoe. With their new project, deadmen, they’ve spent the last two years writing with artists around the globe. The two Winnipeggers realized there was nothing stopping them from throwing a few mics in a suitcase, hopping on a plane and figuring it out when they got there. During writing residencies in Los Angeles, New York and London they worked with Gus Unger Hamilton (Alt J), Cakes da Killa, Emily Wells, Liz Lawrence, Undercover Dream Lovers, Ian Sweet, Maddie Jay, Morgxn, and others, building a catalog of features that will make up a series of releases during the coming year.
